Fancy a male model or two?

I have recently became absolutely addicted to the exceedingly popular "social media" site Pinterest and thus have been pinning anything and everything I like the look of. And I mean everything. From a pair of Christian Louboutins, a Madonna album cover, to the men I fancy, I have been posting like a maniac. I have to do it constantly for work which makes the temptation to "pin" even greater. I am seriously considering rehab.

Well I do have a point here and that is male models are bloody gorgeous. Rough, long-haired, skinny, smoking.. there are a few that have caught my eye and I will be beginning to post a series of photographs, peppering my blog with a model's face or two, all for you to drool over. You're welcome.

The temptation to not only spend hours copying links but to stare into my computer screen, feeling giddy when another image flicks on the screen of a let's just say fudging gorgeous tattoo clad indie kid with that slicked 50s hair and a fag hanging from his mouth is due to a certain male model. That would be Ash Stymest to be exact, who comes in the exact form I describe above and having spotted after being recently introduced to elite model management's new Tumblr page, inspired me to pin that gorgeous face of his, of course. I mean, what else? And ultimately designate an entire post to male models. I will be posting more than once, in fact it will be continuously over the next month until my supply runs out (this seems unlikely).

I hope you lot are pinning too. It does come with a warning, like Twitter, as it is VERY addictive, but if you are addicted already, please do follow.

Enjoy the pictures. There will be more to come...

Paris November 2008

Coming to the end of my degree, I have been thinking a lot about the past three years- the opportunities I've had, the people I've met, the things I have seen and done and the places I have been lucky enough to visit. One in particular is Paris, one of my favourite cities. Initially as part of a university trip, myself and three others got a really great deal and so decided to go a day earlier to stay a night for my ex-housemate's 19th Birthday. Whilst we were there we saw La Grande Roue, The Eiffel Tower and The Arc d'Triomphe, drove along the Champs-Élysées (all lit up with blue and gold lights in time for Christmas), sadly drove through the tunnel where Princess Diana died, visited the Louvre, as well as past it's hotel at night, went clubbing in Queen, admired the window display of Louis Vuitton (laden with gold, tiny spotlights and huge LV logos), walked past Fouquet (which you can see in the background during a scene of film Taken) and sipped drinks whilst listening to the mellow sounds of an amazing band at Johnny Depp's exclusive and very private club, Le Baron. But best of all, we visited the Yves Saint Laurent couture house, of which thousands of pieces are kept (stored in huge white pull out cupboards and drawers, each garment is never touched by bare hands - white gloves are worn by handlers) and were free to roam the Patrick Delmarchier exhibition at the Grand Palais, admiring his skill as one of the most respected and well-known photographers in the world. So much was packed into just two days but meant for a great time. Here I share with you just some of what we saw throughout our short but very fulfilling Parisien adventure.

N.Y.C. = FUN. FUN. FUN.

After being in England now for a few days after a hectic but nonetheless amazingly fun week in NYC, I am now beginning to feel in the right mindset to blog all about it and share with you some of the pictures taken as I was whizzing around the city in awe of it's sheer vastness and magnitude and didn't want to leave you in the dark any longer with regards to my goings on.

Well, one of the most exciting spectacles we were lucky enough to enjoy was waiting outside (against metal barriers across the road and for 3 hours I hasten to add) the Met Gala (in celebration of the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art) for invited stars to arrive. These included Andre Leon Talley, Grace Coddington, Edward Enniful, Suzy Menkes, Colin Firth and wife Livia, SJP, Demi Moore, Renee Zellweger, Madonna, Daphne Guinness, Alexa Chung, Chrsitina Ricci (looking soooo beautiful in Zac Posen), Karl Lagerfeld, Lily Donaldson, Doutzen Kroes, Beyonce, Ciara, Bruno Mars (whose hair is actually larger than he is), Eva Mendes, Salma Hayek, Bradley Cooper, Donald Trump (who was booed by the awaiting audiences), Sir Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, all of whom I was excited to get a glimpse of on arrival. It was a whirlwind of a day which was previously filled with trips to Times Square's Forever 21, Bleeker Street's Michael Kors, Rockefeller Centre, Ground Zero, the 9/11 memorial and St. Paul's Chapel. It was such a great day and only some of what we got up to over last week.

Other adventures included strolling around Central Park, a long awaited dinner in Serendipity, overlooking the views at night from the Empire State Building, appreciating the art in the Museum of Modern Art, viewing the collections of the graduates from Parson's The New School of Design, spotting Elmo, laughing in the M&M shop, imagining the SATC girls whisking down the steps of The New York Public Library, catching the subway from Grand Central Station, admiring the craftsmanship at the His and Hers exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology, being entertained by the Meatpacking District and Soho, drooling over tattoo clad models at V magazine HQ, riding the Staten Island ferry to capture the Statue of Liberty, spotting Essex House (my home town) as well as Macy's, Saks, Madison Square Gardens, The New York Times, The Magnolia Bakery, Tiffany & Co., Christie's, snooping in Bloomingdales and leaving a gorgeous pair of Elie Tahari shoes behind at Bergdorf Goodman.

And to top it all off, dancing in a tiny fun spot known as Snafu and being blown away by the Alexander McQueen exhibition, accompanied by a really great book.

It truly was one of the best weeks of my life and now sitting in my bed trying to make sense of what day it is, I only wish I was back there with sore muscles and tasting the city and it's amazing food all over again with some of the best people I have had the privilege to share the past three years studying with.

Enjoy the pictures. x
